To begin we are going to  throw more light on the meaning of Hypoallergenic cats or kitten
In a wider sense to have allergies refers to "It is a damaging immune response by the body to a substance, which can be food, pollen, fur, or dust, to which it has become hypersensitive''.

The term hypoallergenic Cat breed is commonly used to refer to a cat breed (or crossbreed) that is more compatible with allergic people than other breeds.

Some cat breeds exist that are considered "hypoallergenic" or low allergy cats.
The big question is why are they considered to be hypoallergenic
This is because they produce fewer allergens than others. Cats do produce pet dander(skin flakes, saliva urine), a common allergen, but the culprit for the estimated 10 percent of the population who are allergic to cats may be a protein, Fel d 1(produce largely in cat saliva and it is the main allergen present on cats and kittens.

To be more accurate, there are no 100 percent hypoallergenic domestic cats or cats that are completely non-allergenic. Most cats produce some amount of dander, so you won't find an allergen free kitten or cat.
 However, there are breeds that produce less of it and therefore make good cats for people with allergies. Unlike any other pets they are all part of our community,home and family.In such difficult situations we can give up on them or get rid of your cat as this is not recommended .Below i have listed some guidelines which can help us combat or reduce some allergens in your home .

• I always say and i will keep on repeating it cleanliness is next to Godliness .Cleaning,cleaning your home daily this include thorough sweeping can greatly reduce the amount of allergens.Also ensure to keep the surfaces and floor to be fur free as possible .Most homes with carpets can be a haven for cats hair,urine.So its important to clean the carpet with vacuum and also the rugs can be cleaned outside 
• These option is a little more costly using air purifier , it is a great tool against cat allergens.
• Another way is trying bathing the cat every 4 to 7weeks with a cat shampoo this will help remove the cat saliva,extra hair and dander build up.  

In conclusion we are saying cat/kittens allergies are caused by the protein in their urine and saliva.

One or all  the methods listed above can greatly reduced the amount of allergens in the air and at home, and this can make your home a sniffles free home .Hopefully this article can help you to hug and kiss your cat
